cegedim.cloud awarded SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification for its new ultra-secure offering, CegNumCloud Secured IaaS
A recognition that marks a strategic turning point in terms of sovereignty and cybersecurity.
Boulogne-Billancourt, France, December 18, 2024 – cegedim.cloud – a subsidiary of Cegedim and an expert in hosting and outsourcing of critical IT systems and applications – received on December 4, 2024, from the French National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI), the Security Visa for the SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification of its cloud service offerings. cegedim.cloud thus becomes one of the first cloud providers to obtain this ANSSI Security Visa, guaranteeing, in particular, strengthened sovereignty and independence from extra-European laws.
With this qualification, the Cegedim Group addresses a dual ambition: meeting its internal needs while reaching new markets that require highly secure hosting solutions.
Obtaining this SecNumCloud 3.2 qualification required two years of intensive work, involving teams in rigorous administrative procedures, complex audits, and full compliance with ANSSI requirements.
With this recognition, cegedim.cloud now asserts its commitment to providing sovereign, innovative solutions tailored to the major challenges of cybersecurity in a context of constantly increasing cyber threats. Its newly qualified offering, CegNumCloud Secured IaaS, is a high-security Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solution that enables cegedim.cloud to meet the most demanding standards in sovereign hosting.
This qualification is fully aligned with the Cegedim Group’s global strategy and marks a key milestone in the development of cegedim.cloud. It strengthens its existing offering by meeting the growing expectations of both external and internal clients (including Cegedim Business Services, registered as a PDP for e-invoicing), while paving the way to new strategic markets. Among these are operators of vital importance (OIV), the public sector, and highly sensitive industries such as energy and defense, where data security and sovereignty are an absolute priority.
This qualification strengthens client trust in cegedim.cloud solutions by providing additional guarantees for the hosting of critical and sensitive data.
“The ANSSI Security Visa for the SecNumCloud qualification of our solution demonstrates our determination to position ourselves in the ultra-secure cloud market, to continue developing our dematerialization business (PDP), and to address the challenges of the government’s ‘Cloud at the Center’ doctrine. It marks a first step towards the qualification of a complete catalog of PaaS services.”
said Romain Vergniol, Cegedim’s Cybersecurity Director.
“Obtaining this qualification confirms our ability to meet the highest standards of secure hosting and highlights our sovereign identity. This key milestone marks a new chapter in our Cloud growth strategy, with the next ones already being written.”
continued Frédéric Le Guillou, Chief Information Officer of Cegedim and President of cegedim.cloud.
About the SecNumCloud qualification:
Developed by the French National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI), the SecNumCloud framework sets out a set of security rules to follow, ensuring a high level of requirements from a technical, operational, and legal standpoint. On the one hand, providers offering cloud services must demonstrate strong IT hygiene; on the other hand, data must be protected in compliance with European law.
